Position: SRE (Primary and Secondary) Coordinator & Teacher

The Wagga Wagga Board is looking for an SRE Coordinator/Teacher to work four days per week at various schools commencing from term two 2021. The days of work are flexible, and the breakdown is as follows:
Approximately three days coordinating and teaching the Primary SRE ministry in the city. This includes communicating with our local primary schools, developing partnerships with local churches, coordinating our approximate 30 volunteer teachers, and recruiting and training future volunteers. It is anticipated that this would involve one day coordination and two days of face to face teaching.
Approximately one day teaching the Secondary SRE ministry in the city. This includes teaching Yr 7 & 8 classes across two-three high schools and supporting lunch time groups where available.
The Board is willing to explore job sharing opportunities if an applicant wanted only to apply for one aspect of this position.
The successful applicant will have a current Working With Children Check number, have completed a church based Child Protection Training course in the last 3 years, adhere to the Nicene Creed and statement of faith found on the ‘SRE Positions Vacant’ section of the Generate website and hold or be willing to study towards, a Diploma in Theology. To teach SRE, you must be authorised to teach SRE by a Department of Education approved SRE provider.
